We provide a caring and confidential service for adults living in Dorset who are experiencing sexual problems.  These clinics are provided by clinicians who have had specialist training in psychosexual medicine. They are members of the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine.

Psychosexual medicine has been found to be very effective at helping a wide range of sexual problems including:

  • erectile dysfunction (impotence)
  • premature or delayed ejaculation
  • loss of interest in sex
  • difficulties with arousal or orgasm
  • painful intercourse
  • difficulties with vaginal penetration.

Referrals to the psychosexual medicine service need to be made through a healthcare professional. We aim to see people as soon as possible; however, at times the waiting time may be between six and nine months.

Please note this is not couple therapy service, and people are usually seen as individuals.

We offer our psychosexual medicine service at our clinics in Blandford, Bournemouth, Poole and Wareham.
