Our team offers free relationships and sex education (RSE) teacher training support to all state middle and secondary schools in Dorset, including the BCP area.

RSE is mandatory, and it is crucial that schools have trained staff to deliver these education sessions effectively. We are here to equip schools with everything they need and help them gain the skills and confidence to provide relationships and sex education to support the wellbeing of young people.

Please see the information below or email us at dhc.sexualhealth.promotions@nhs.net for further information on how we can support the delivery of RSE through our various offers which include free direct RSE delivery to students in state schools and local authority-maintained schools. We also have a comprehensive offer for fee-paying schools and charities which is available at a cost.

Our professional training offer focuses on delivering training to groups of professionals. This can be delivered virtually or face-to-face. Training includes:

  • C-Card distribution and local STI services
  • sexual health and relationships awareness for those working with young people.
  • an e-learning sexual health and relationships awareness course
  • talking about consent.

To see whether this training would suit you and your team, contact dhc.sexualhealth.promotion@nhs.net.

We can offer a range of equipment and resources on loan to support with delivering RSE lessons.

To enquire about loaning these resources, contact dhc.sexualhealth.promotion@nhs.net.

We have produced a series of videos for teachers and professionals who work with young people to use. These videos are based around our RSE core package resources which can help with delivering relationships and sex education sessions in school.

We also have a variety of resources available to support you with signposting to sexual health services and information.
