Free condoms for under-25s
If you are under 19 (or under 25 with learning disabilities) and have any questions or concerns about pregnancy or sexual health, the Dorset Sexual Health team is here to support you. We have a dedicated young people's team, which can help with information, advice and accessing sexual health or contraception services.

It is important to have regular sexual health screening. Many people with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) have no symptoms. STIs can pass from one person to another during sex, especially if you don’t use a condom. It’s a good idea to get tested, especially if you have recently changed partners. You can now do this from the comfort of your own home.
These clinics are for anyone aged from 13-17 years and provide help and advice with all forms of contraception, any symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or if you need to speak to someone about emergency contraception or an unplanned pregnancy.
You can walk-in or and make an appointment by calling 0300 303 1948 or texting Chat Sexual Health on 07312 263101.
Appointments run from 1.30-4.30 on Mondays in west Dorset (Weymouth clinic) and from 3-6.30pm on Thursdays in east Dorset (Bournemouth clinic).
If you choose to walk in, you will have to wait to be seen and we cannot guarantee that you will be seen on the day.
Young people, including those under 16, have the same right to confidentiality as adults.
Everything you say will be kept confidential unless we feel:
- you or someone else is at risk of serious harm
- there is an intention to commit a serious crime, or a serious crime has been committed.
If we need to share information with any other professional, we will, wherever possible, talk to you about this first.
We have to keep records of our appointments which are kept secure within Dorset HealthCare data systems. They cannot be read by anyone outside of the sexual health service.
